Boop!

Fall 2022

Design Campaign

Graphic Design 2 Project

Name

Boop [boo-p] verb.

1. A gentle or playful tap, especially on the nose.

  • This campaign will raise awareness for fostering, shine light on the need and its positives and benefits, and encourage young adults to participate. Foster programs are the only way to help save puppies, kitties, and injured or unhealthy animals who would not get the medical support and care they would need to survive at a shelter.

  • A younger age demographic (21-35) of working, single professionals would be ideal for this colorful, relevant, and appealing campaign. This demographic’s interests and social media presence give this campaign the greatest opportunity to succeed.

  • Boop! advertising will be set in 3 distinct locations, each targeting the audience in sequential order. 1). Interactive billboards and urban signs. 2). In-store advertising at pet stores, vets’ offices, and pet sections in a store like Target. 3). Social media, via Instagram.

Share Your 2 Cents

Design Campaign

Personal Community Project

Summer 2020

  • The Bahamas Humane Society’s Share Your 2 Cents campaign was launched in an effort to collect The Bahamian penny before it retired from circulation in 2021. The loose change collected would help to fund food and medical supplies.

  • Looking to make a positive impact on the community during the Covid-19 pandemic, my co-collaborator and I decided to combine our skills and volunteer to help The Bahamas Humane Society. We created the concept for the SY2C campaign and executed it from start to finish. My major contributions included the coin collection tube design, the identity design, planning the collection strategy, physically going out into the community…and counting pennies.

  • The SY2C campaign ran from middle of 2020 to early 2021. With the help of The Central Bank of The Bahamas, we were able to cash in approximately $20,000 in pennies and change.

Social Media

Through social media, we put out calls to action and information about the SY2C drop off locations. The illustrations I created, I tried to incorporate Bahamian culture to make it relatable to the audience.

Collection Tubes

Designing and crafting the collection tubes was the most challenging part of this campaign. With the increase in coin donations, we had to size up from 20in to 42in tubes. Using recycled wood and yard signs, we got creative with the displays.
